Start With a Conversation
The first step is a complimentary consultation at the studio. This is where you and Jason can sit down together and talk through your ideas in detail. Depending on the project, consultations can take close to an hour and may cover everything from subject matter and placement to scale, reference images, existing tattoos, and the overall direction you're hoping to take. It's also a chance to make sure the fit is right on both sides. You should leave the consultation feeling comfortable with the project, the process, and the person you're trusting to tattoo it. If you're ready to move forward, you'll leave a deposit and choose your tattoo dates.
From the Calendar to the Tattoo
For larger projects, your tattoo will be completed over multiple appointments. Once your dates are secured, the next step is simply looking forward to getting started. When you arrive for your first session, Jason will revisit the goals you've discussed and begin the freehand drawing process directly on the body. From there, the tattoo takes shape through sizing, placement, and refinement as the design works with your individual anatomy. The goal is to create a custom tattoo that fits you rather than simply reproducing an image.

Black Swan Tattoo Company is one artist; Jason's calendar includes both new clients and ongoing projects, and larger tattoos require multiple sessions over time meaning availability is limited.
